The Perthshire Youth Work Partnership has been awarded the coveted “Community-based Youth Work” title at the YouthLink Scotland National Youth Work Awards, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow. The ceremony, attended by over 300 guests from across Scotland’s third sector, celebrated outstanding contributions to youth work across 14 award categories.
The award recognises the partnership’s exceptional impact in delivering grassroots youth work across rural and urban Perthshire. Now in its seventh year, the Perthshire Youth Work Partnership is jointly funded by The Gannochy Trust and Perth and Kinross Council, and supports a network of community-based youth organisations, Kinross Youth Enterprise, LOGOS Youth Project, YMCA Tayside, Strathmore Centre for Youth Development, Alyth Youth Partnership, Coupar Angus Youth Activities Group, and The Breathe Project.

In 2024/25 alone, the partnership collectively engaged with 3,645 young people—equivalent to 49% of all secondary pupils in the Perth & Kinross region. This represents a 300% increase in youth engagement since 2018, marking a remarkable trajectory of growth and impact in just seven years.
The success of the partnership is underpinned by long-term strategic funding, a deeply collaborative approach to youth development, and the dedication of a large team of staff and volunteers committed to supporting young people in their communities.
