The Perthshire Youth Work Partnership

The Perthshire Youth Work Partnership is not an organisation in its own right, we are a collaboration of seven third sector youth work agencies, a Local Authority, and a Grant Funding Trust.  Membership of the Partnership is governed by the funding contracts awarded through open competitive tendering for 5 year contracts that started in April 2019 and were renewed in 2024.

The Partnership was created in an attempt to arrest the decline in youth work opportunities in Perth and Kinross, a challenge being experienced throughout the United Kingdom.  We hoped that, by working in collaboration, with greater trust, and mutual support, would strengthen the sector with an impact greater than the some of its individual parts.

By the fifth year of operation, and with no increase in funding in the first five years, the Partnership had increased its reach to five times as many young people in more than twice as many locations across Perth and Kinross.

This website has been established to recognise and welcome the full extent of the youth work provision in Perth and Kinross and to offer a support structure to communities that wish to start their own new Youth Group.
