Some funding to get you started

It can be challenging for communities to identify funding sources for a new Youth Group that does not yet exist.  To help you get started, the Gannochy Trust Youth Panel has agreed to offer grants of £500 to help you with start up costs.  The Youth Panel is only able to fund registered charities, so this grant will be provided to your Mentor Youth Group for you to spend as you wish.

In addition to your £500 grant, the Youth Panel will also cover the cost of your membership of Youth Scotland for your first year.  Membership of Youth Scotland will mean that you are part of a Scotland wide network of Youth Groups and give you access to training for Youth Workers, Insurance and a raft of other support packages.  Very importantly, it also provides reassurance to parents/guardians that you are part of a Scotland wide network.

There are no forms to download, but we will ask you to sign an agreement that the funds will be used solely for the purpose of starting a new Youth Group.
